Thrifty Traveler: Getting around NYC

Image
Thinking about visiting New York City? The yellow taxi seems almost synonymous with NYC, but this can actually be one of the most expensive ways to get around the city. If you're from an area that has a bad track record with public transportation, you might be skiddish of trying out the subways and buses. I know I was. Not only does it seem that everything tastes better coming from the grill, it is also a great way to keep your home cooler reducing the need for air conditioning. Don't be fooled either by the commercials showing steak, burgers, and hotdogs being grilled. The grill is much more versatile than that, but we will start with an easy and delicious grilled potato recipe.
